Although I've been homeschooling for 16 years and seeking simplicity all that time, I still find myself getting overwhelmed at times. Fortunately, there's a solution that I wanted to share with listeners.
If you can't believe that I've ever been completely disorganized and overwhelmed, you'll want to read my book, So You're Not Wonder Woman. People who know me today often tell me they can't believe my story, but it makes them feel better.

How to handle homeschool haters
List-making is my go-to, when times get tough. But undergirding that, I always had a schedule. You cannot keep six kids, a husband on call, garden, canning, sewing, writing, laundry, etc., all in order, if you do not have a schedule and make lists.
Beyond that, we did not chase a lot of stuff. PE, and Park Day was about it. PE was bowling or tennis lessons, most of the time. Tried baseball and just. could. not.
Anyway, loved this. So kind of you to be open and to offer up courage from the trenches. 🙂
Katharine, thanks so much for advice. I love it!
