Hey, homeschoolers!

What is apologetics and why should you teach it in your homeschool? My guest this week, Dr. Georgia Purdom of Answers in Genesis, will explain why it's vital that apologetics is a part of our kids' Christian education.

But first I want to thank our sponsor for this podcast, The Well Planned Gal. She has various planners for every homeschool need. A planner is not a planner unless it is a Well Planned Day planner! The Well Planned gal, Rebecca Farris, is a homeschool mom who has a gift and she shares her talents with us in her planner series. A few of the amazing planners available are: The Well Planned Day, Student planners, and even the high school 4-year planner. Her newest planner is the Well Planned Prayer Planner with an all-in-one planner and organizer. Organize your day with a focus on placing God first. Journaling 101, as well as scripture verses, permeate this beautiful book. Take it everywhere and you will have all the information you need at your fingertips. Best of all it becomes a keepsake and wonderful guide for making prayer a priority. This journal is truly life-changing. Visit wellplanedgal.com for more.

Homeschool Apologetics

Now for this week's topic. I got to talk with Dr. Georgia Purdom about why teaching apologetics is so important in our homeschools. Dr. Georgia Purdom earned her PhD in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University.  After teaching as a college biology professor for 6 years, she joined Answers in Genesis in 2006 where she serves as the Ministry Content Administrator in addition to being a speaker, writer, and researcher. She also directs AiG’s annual women’s conference, Answers for Women, bringing relevant apologetics teaching to women. Dr. Purdom and her husband Chris have been married for 21 years and have a 14-year-old daughter Elizabeth. Georgia enjoys homeschooling her daughter and serving in children’s ministry in her local church.
